Cyclone Montha turns severe
Bhubaneswar (28/10/2025): The cyclone “Montha” turned severe as it is moving closer to land. It is advancing at a speed of 17 km per hour. It is currently 230 km from Machilipatnam, 310 km from Kakinada, and 570 km from Gopalpur. “Montha” is likely to make landfall this evening or night. It will cross the Andhra coast near Kakinada in Andhra Pradesh. During landfall, the maximum wind speed is expected to be 110 km per hour.
