
Puri Srimandir ornaments moved to renovated Ratna Bhandar
Puri (23/09/2025): The ornaments of the Shree Jagannath Temple in Puri were successfully relocated from the temporary strongroom to the renovated Ratna Bhandar on Tuesday.The transfer was carried out strictly in line with the Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) issued by the Odisha government. The shifting process began at 10:55 AM and was completed in 2 hours and 55 minutes, during which 12 almirahs containing ornaments were moved.According to Chief Administrator of the Shree Jagannath Temple Administration (SJTA), Arabinda Padhee, the keys of the Ratna Bhandar have been deposited at the District Treasury.The entire procedure was video recorded in the presence of a magistrate to ensure transparency. As part of the relocation exercise, darshan at the Srimandir was temporarily suspended from 10 AM, though devotees were still able to receive Mahaprasad at Ananda Bazaar.After the shifting work concluded, the entry restrictions were lifted and normal temple activities resumed.
