
Odisha CM announces 3% DA hike for government employees ahead of Diwali
Bhubaneswar(16/10/2025): Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi announced a 3% increase in Dearness Allowance (DA) for all state government employees ahead of the Diwali festival.With this decision, the DA has been raised from 55% to 58%, bringing festive relief to lakhs of government staff across Odisha. The revised Dearness Allowance will be implemented retrospectively from July 1, 2025, and the enhanced amount will be paid in cash along with the October salary. In addition, the Dearness Relief (TI) for pensioners has also been increased by 3%, ensuring that retired government employees receive similar benefits.The enhanced TI will be reflected in their October pension. According to official sources, this move will benefit nearly 8.5 lakh government employees and pensioners in the state.The announcement, made just before the festival of lights, has been widely welcomed as a positive step to support employees during the festive season..
